On December 2018, several Jamaican online news outlets reported that The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) started investigating a video that was being circulated on social media containing child pornography.

  • Child Porn is an awful act, and it is an offence in Jamaica to produce, distribute import, export or possess Child Pornography.
  • You should not share Child Pornography with others if you receive it.
  • You should never have child porn in your possession. If by some unintentional reason you possess child pornography content, you should report its source and
  • Anyone can report Child Pornography in Jamaica to The Centre for Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA).
  • In some cases sharing child porn can spill over into becoming a Cyber Crime. Reporting Cyber Crime is also encouraged by Jamaica’s Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) in the Ministry of Science, Energy, and Technology.
  • There is a law in Jamaica for Child Pornography called the Child Pornography (Prevention) Act. It is “An ACT to Prohibit the production, distribution, importation, exportation or possession of child pornography and the use of children for child pornography, and to provide for connected matters.”
